“This is a series of very personal renderings including clothing and small tokens belonging to people I have known intimately. The clothes evoke the person for me more deeply than a straightforward likeness or portrait. The paintings probably reflect an unwillingness on my part to let go of things I associate with people who have mattered to me.”
